The Illusion Of Music

  

I am 6 years old in 1965!

I remember sitting in front of granddad's huge,

In my young mind,

Black and white television.

There were a lot of random variety shows on TV in those days.

I do not remember when I saw this movie on television...

But the memory of the lead female dancer always haunted my dreams.

I was shocked when Heineken used the background music...

In its beer commercial.

I had to find that clip...

And here it is... found two years ago!

And this is simply amazing!

 

In 1965,

When white America was ripping this country apart...

Because an 80% majority of the populace were afraid of...

A 10% minority...

I wonder if the fantastic dancers and musicians in this movie were...

Worried about whites killing blacks in America.

All I know is, what these people are doing looked like...
